Helping Kids With Their MySpace Page

I've been a Mechanical Engineer, a Network Administrator, a Data Processing Manager, and an IT Technician. Finally, the 21st century has demoted me to - Technologist. If you ask me, it's not much of a title for someone who's been around the block as many times as I have.

Through the years, I've seen fantastically useful technologies propel business productivity and other technologies waste fantastic amounts of time. Freecell was my vice for years. My kids have also found the time-sucking features of the Internet.

They started with Club Penguin, and moved to The Care Bears, then onto Strawberry ShortCake, and last year my oldest graduted to the ultimate time-sucker... MySpace graphics.

I've helped everyone from my parents to bank CEO's understand general computer concepts, but my biggest challenge ever was teaching a 13-year-old girl how to make her MySpace profile look cool. We spent hours and hours looking though dozens of graphics sites to find the perfect profile graphics.

After a weekend of bleary-eyed browsing, I found Kiwee. Quite simply my favorite one-stop-shop for all your MySpace stuff. Admitting defeat, I showed her all of the cool MySpace posting tutorials and parked her in from of all the postables, text generators, E-cards , winks for her IM marathons, and of course...

She had her paged pimped before the night was out, and I know that she checks Kiwee all the time for the new funny graphics they keep coming up with.
